ACT on Stress - turn stress into FLOW cultivating peace, presence and purpose in the middle of it all
Need some practical guidance & real responsibility?
Defining stressis much like defining happiness. Everyone knows what it is, but no one can agree on a single definition. Stress can be a driver (Eustress) and it can cause burnout (Distress).
An important part of managing stress is to know what stress looks like. Stress responses can take different forms: bodily changes, emotional changes, and behavioral changes. Stress is a Body-Mind-Soul Process that the nervous system initiates when it comes in contact with physical, emotional or mental stimuli that it believes to be threatening to us.
Are you struggling with issues such as loss of enthusiasm and energy, unhealthy cravings or somatic (bodily) symptoms like sleep disturbance, muscle tension or high blood pressure?
This course will motivate you to bring FLOW back into your life and show you how to:
• demystify and understand stress • identify your “stress buttons” • acknowledge the power of self talk • incorporate mindfulness (concentration, clarity, equanimity) into your life • start long term and lasting healthy changes for your well being
